Kanye West’s controversial statements and antics have inspired an entire documentary. Ben Zand, the man behind the BBC’s eye-opening R. Kelly: Sex, Girls & Videotape, turns his attention to ‘Ye in a new documentary titled Searching For Kanye West.
Although Zand is unable to speak with the man himself, the filmmaker is able to catch up with friends and associates of Kanye and his late mother Donda West. Longtime collaborator GLC, manager John Monopoly and polarizing commentator Candace Owens are among those who sit down to discuss Yeezy’s life and behavior in the film.
