DJ Rob Swift
DJ Rob Swift was tapped, in 1991, by Harlem-based DJ crew X-Men to join their ranks. Within a year he won the coveted DMC East Coast title and became known, worldwide, as a masterful DJ and a force to be reckoned with.
Mix Master Mike
Grammy Award winner Mix Master Mike is a 3 time consecutive winner of the DMC World title, a winner of the 1992 New Music Seminar DJ Battle, where he became the first West Coast DJ to win the title of World Champion. Best known as the DJ for the Beastie Boys.
DJ ALADDIN
DJ Aladdin gained prominence as a turntablist, being one of the only West Coast turntablists to compete in the prominently East Coast DMC battles. In 1989, he finished second in the World DJ Championship after winning the US Championship.

DJ kOOL Herc
DJ Kool Kerc in the early 70s began to isolate the instrumental portion of the record, which emphasized the drum beat—the “break”—and switch from one break to another. Herc used two copies of the same record to elongate the break. This breakbeat DJing, using hard funk and records with Latin percussion, formed the basis of hip hop music.
